asleep out on the couch

why does it always end like this:
the hot computer, half floating half on my thigh
the weight of my dogs body numbing some part of my limbs?
the TV’s on so loud
I never understand how we watch like that in the first place
sleeplessness:
a snoring dog, a snoring mate
