i am Janicza Bravo. i live in Los Angeles.
i spent half my life in Panama, and half in Brooklyn.
i studied directing and design for theatre at Playwrights Horizons (NYU).
i have mounted productions in New York, LA and Madrid.
i am a director.
recently, i wrapped production on my first narrative short film, EAT.
we’ve screened at SXSW and at the Cannes Film Festival’s, Short Film Corner.
in August we will screen as part of Henry Millers Library International Shorts in Big Sur.

also i am a stylist.

Hello hello—

For the month of February I will be posting images of and or related to Black History. I did this the first 2 years of my blog but was
lazy about it last year. It was quite a hunt. Most of the images that I was coming across were depressing and unflattering which
is of course also apart of the history but I was hoping to include more images of celebration. This month I will do my best to post
a varied harmonious collection of images.
